Last Sunday Radio Noir made the jump to the big leagues and broadcasted from the legendary Twin Cities venue the Turf Club. The line up featured a performance from Pat Dougherty & The Second-Hand Opera, but the main feature was Bearkat.
Joined by Luke Kalloch (also known as The Loblolly Boy), Bearkat (Katy Pearson) performed their arsenal of head bopping and foot stomping tunes to a captivated audience. Pearson's angelic voice took flight over the dulcet tones of ukelelees and mandolins, while Kalloch provided prestine vocal harmonies. The two would frequently switch between a wide array of different instruments available on stage, while telling tales from the road. The energetic performance was a perfect showcase for Pearson's unique and extremely accomplished songwriting.
Bearkat is currently on tour, and possibly coming to a town near you!
