Amid microphones falling and cables unplugging, Dave Afdahl played like it was another day at the office (as much as one can have an office in his profession). Joined by the Second-Hand Opera, Afdahl utilizes musical wizardry to turn the traditional pop song on its ear. With monster prowess over the piano, Afdahl's driving rhythms reach climaxes of epic proportions, pushing his songs to new heights.
Talk of new albums from the Second-Hand Opera has been rumored for quite sometime, but it has only been confirmed on Radio Noir. Afdahl's new album will consist of several stories and concepts that fall together in a series. No title as of yet, but it will be available on Rushlake Records in 2009.
Afdahl only dished out a small taste of what is to come, and left everyone wanting seconds.
