Does Pat Dougherty ever sleep? Between working on two seperate albums, preparation for two national tours (spoiler alert!), and working for Radio Noir, where would he find time to work on a seperate solo EP?
Well according to the man himself, it's a set of three EPs, and the two Second-Hand Opera Albums will be released in 2010. The jury is still out on the sleeping issue (did we mention he is also in a zombie movie directed by Second-Hand cellist Tim Binger?).
The podcast featured Dougherty on a practice amp with sparce pedal work and looped tape noise. Although he claims these songs will be heavily electronic on the album, the performance presents the tracks stripped down with a lot of space, reminiscent of Springsteen's Nebraska or Suicide's self titled (where would he get those influences?)
