RADIO NOIR: COLLECTIVE IMPROV WITH PEZZETTINO

Currently on a tour of intimate venues, Pezzettino covered a lot of ground on day one. Before she descended on Uptown, Margaret Stutt made a pit stop at our studio for a session on Radio Noir.

The whimsical set included material from her Lion LP, material that will appear on her upcoming album, and material she wrote during the car ride to Saint Paul. The performance even featured a few improvised performances from John Peters on drums Pat Dougherty on guitar.

Pezzettino's songs feature powerful accordion drones and personal lyrics set to angular vocal staccatos. Her songs catch you off guard but their beauty will pull you right in. Pezzettino is quirky, catchy, and a lot of fun.
